How Sad That The Almighty Dollar Is More Important Than Compassion Toward One's Fellow Man!!!

Hello Everyone,

What you see here is a sign that was posted by a family living and renting a property in New Hampshire's North Country. The landlord refuses to give them wood in order that they may heat the home they are renting from him.

I am asking all of you to pay attention to posts that will be forthcoming from concerned residents in Berlin, NH and its surrounding communities, not to mention the comments posted from others such as myself who were former residents of Berlin, NH.

This is but one example of the plight of many people not only in northern New Hampshire, but throughout this country of ours. I am concerned that this landlord is turning a deaf ear to the situation his tenants are faced with.

It is sad that the almighty dollar is more important to this man than the compassion he should have toward his fellow man in providing the help they need.

I was born and raised in this wonderful community and whenever the chips were down, you could depend upon your friends and neighbors in Berlin, NH to be there for you. We all treated eachother the same and always provided help to those in need. I am convinced that the fine citizens of Berlin, NH will help this family and I am urging all of them and all of those formerly from this fine city to post their comments to my blog and help me bring situations such as this and many others to the attention of our government leaders in hopes that we can somehow end poverty, oppression and homelessness in this country.

As always, thanks to all of you for giving me a reason to pursue this passion of mine, because without your supportive comments and concern, all of this would be futile.

God Bless you all and please continue to send me your comments.

Hello to all and many thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Hi everyone,

I've been away from my blog for quite a while and I wish to thank all of you for your patience while I was away. Work and the lack of time prevented me from posting for a while.

Well, I now have plenty of time on my hands in order to continue posting to my blog. On December 13, 2010, I suffered a major heart attack requiring the implant of two stents. Two major arteries were blocked and thanks to the quick and professional work of the specialists at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL, I am here, alive to talk about it.

I am extremely grateful to all of you who have sent me get well wishes and especially to all of you who have prayed and continue to pray for me. I will continue to do what is needed to create awareness as to homelessness in this country and ask that you continue to support my cause with your comments and by spreading the word to your family, friends and co-workers.

We need to end homelessness, hunger and poverty in this country and now, more than ever, I need your help.

Thank you all once again for your support and for your kindness during this part of my life's adventure. I promise to continue more strongly with my cause and assure you that I will post on a more regular basis.

God Bless you all!!!

Awesome story Robin....thank you so much!!!

What you are about to read warmed my heart. There are so many decent people out there who have no one to turn to and nowhere to go. What Robin and her son did for this man is priceless, yet he also gave them a gift to cherish as well. Thank you Robin for sharing this story with me and thank you all for the kindness that you such as Robin and her son, display every day toward the poor, oppressed and homeless in America.

Hello Ron, i hope you dont mind my sharing something with you!!! I know you work with the homeless, as i and my son do..we help a local shelter, and gather blankets clothing and such, but i want to tell you about a certain gentleman i have come to know. The past 5 years there is a man that walks around with this "belongings" in a grocery cart, his name is Jerry, i first began giving him 10.00 at a time, as i knew he was not a drinker and would use it for food!!! My son and i run into him quite a bit and he knew that my son will be leaving for the Air force soon, well, the other day, i saw him and gave him what i promised..a Browns coat!!!!!!! It was always a little joke with us, as he, in the winter wore a steelers coat, and i told him "we cant have that"!! My son bought him the coat, and when we would see him next, we gave it! he was soooo happy, it warmes my heart to see his smile every time i see him, he is so grateful for everything, and never have i seen him beg!!!!

Sorry this is so long..well i ran into him last night as i went to Walmart, he is sometimes laying in the grass field near there, and he saw me and motioned to me, so i drove up to him and got out..what he did, brought me to a very hard sobbing cry, he had used some of the money people give him, and bought my son and I a guardian angel pin, one for me as he says for helping him, and one for Robbie as he goes into the Air Force!!!!!! Ron, to say that warmed my heart in an understatement..this man is mentally challenged, and he lives on the streets, because he has a brother at home who beat him all the time, so this is his choice, i found this out from my friend and neighbor who is a deputy for the county, and they too, help him!!!! As i went to hug him like i always do, he stopped me, as he always does, and says i dont want to get you dirty!! That never bothered me!! I told him..give me a hug with a smile, and he smiled back and gave one. I let him know what that meant to me and my son..he told me he was sorry he made me cry!!! lol I let him know it was a good cry!!!! I had to share this with you, so i am sorry that it was so long!!!! Have a great day, Ron!!!

I NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE!!!

Homelessness in this country continues to grow at an alarming rate with more and more Americans now living in cars, sleeping in the beds of pickup trucks, finding shelter in condemned and abandoned buildings, yet our government continues to look the other way.

I am asking for your help in supporting homeless shelters across America and particularly, help for the Homeless Voice Shelter in Hollywood, FL. This shelter is a non-profit organization operated by the Cosac Foundation. The organization receives no government funding on any level whatsoever and relies solely upon the generosity of the donating public.

I have been with this organization for nearly five and a half years and continue to work toward this wonderful cause and continue to be an advocate for the poor, the oppressed and the homeless in America.

I humbly ask all of you who read my blog and believe in this cause that you simply donate just ONE DOLLAR to the Homeless Voice Shelter. Your dollar will go a long way in providing continued shelter for those who are now on our streets, it will help purchase food for those now living at the shelter and will help us continue to provide medical help to those homeless in need of it.

Please view this link to the Homeless Voice Shelter and learn what the organization is all about.

http://www.homelessvoice.org/

I honestly believe that ALL OF YOU will truly make a difference and know in my heart that once you have viewed this website, you will all realize that Americans cannot allow Americans to go homeless.

Thank you all and my apologies for not posting anything to my blog in the past several weeks, I've been extremely occupied with the shelter and I promise you all that I will resume posting to my blog on a regular basis.

God Bless you all and once again, my sincerest thanks to all of you who have encouraged me to continue spreading the word regarding homelessness, your support will always be appreciated.

Take care for now and keep reading my blog......I NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE!!!

I will resume posting more regularly and ask again that you PLEASE post your comments and give me your input.

Once again, to all of you, my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for your interest and concerns, look for new posts shortly.

JUST A THOUGHT!!!

Just think for a minute. How would life be if all of you became homeless? With the tragic situation our country faces these days with unemployment rising to record highs, mortgages being foreclosed upon, gasoline and food prices going up, is there any hope for a so-called economic recovery that our government wants us to believe is nearby?

The television networks seem to be totally focused these days regarding the comments made by the Senate Majority Leader regarding President Obama. Who cares I say....is that the number one priority that is the news these days....Focus people, focus on what is at hand in this country. I tell you now that more of us will become homeless because Washington just doesn't get it.

The voting public needs to revolt with the vote the next time around. Vote these idiots out of office and demand from our government that PAC and other special interest groups be totally eliminated from the voting process.

I will post a new comment in the next few days and simply ask that all of you who read this and truly care, write your comments so that I can have the ammuniton I need to send a message to Washington.

Thank you all as always, and may God bless you all.

May all of you enjoy a very Happy New Year.

Each and every new year offers hope for a better tomorrow, yet many will still be without family, without jobs and without a home. I pray that those who are without all of this be given new hope for a better tomorrow.

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!

We are on the verge of ending yet another year. We approach a new year with hope, promise and hopefully dreams to be fulfilled. On this very special day, Christmas, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, let us all reflect upon the sacrifices that Jesus made in order to save mankind and let us further reflect upon the sacrifices that those who were able to help the less fortunate made in order to provide a safe haven to them.

I write specifically about individuals who unselfishly sacrificed their personal lives and finances in order to benefit those who had nothing. I write about one individual, my friend, Sean Anthony Cononie. Sean has parted with his own finances in order to create and maintain the Homeless Voice Shelter in Hollywood, FL so that those less fortunate than he, could have a home once again.

We look upon Christmas as a day of giving, a day of thanks to God for allowing His son, Jesus Christ to save our souls through the ultimate sacrifice He had to pay.

All of us who have become homeless have toiled with the very thought that we were alone, unloved, unwanted and perceived as nothing less than dirt, yet, Sean saw things differently and took the ball and ran with it.

I have known Sean for over five years now and througout my tenure with the shelter I have seen not only the shelter grow for the better but Sean also growing with pride and satisfaction regarding helping so many people.

On behalf of all of us you have helped Sean, I thank you, for you truly are the example of what humanity should be. You constantly find ways to make those who need you feel wanted, your love for all is what keeps the shelter running so once again, thank you my dear friend.

I have a wish for all of you who are with the shelter, it is simple, it is straightforward and from my HEART.

I wish for all of you that God may grant you the PEACE you are looking for, the LOVE you all deserve and the HOPE for a better tomorrow.

I am so proud to be a part of you and so blessed that God loves me enough to allow me to do what I do each and every day, hopefully making your daily lives just a bit better.

On behalf of Lily and Ron, please accept our best wishes for a wonderful Christmas, remember, WE ARE ALL FAMILY and may God keep watching over all of you and know that you are no longer alone....you and I and Sean are FAMILY.

Merry Christmas everyone and may God bless you all my brothers and sisters.
